A guide for familiesHow I can help
Every visit is shaped around you. Mix and match whatever would help most — it can change from week to week.
Friendly visits, conversation, reading, games, hobbies and simply having someone around.
Support with everyday personal tasks, where appropriate and within my level of training and experience.
Preparing simple meals, helping with meal planning and keeping the kitchen tidy afterwards.
Dusting, vacuuming, washing up, laundry, changing bed linen and keeping things tidy.
Decluttering, organising cupboards and paperwork, and helping keep the home manageable.
Changing light bulbs, putting things away, simple household tasks and general ‘odd jobs’.
Watering plants, light weeding and helping keep outdoor spaces neat.
Feeding pets, local dog walks and other simple pet-related help.
Grocery, clothing, gift and household shopping, collecting prescriptions, posting parcels and other local errands.
Accompanying you to appointments, or helping you organise diaries, bookings and reminders.
Accompanying you on local outings, walks, coffee trips or shopping trips, where appropriate.
Help with letters, forms, online shopping, emails, video calls, phones and everyday technology.
The story behind the name
In the Bible, sisters Martha and Mary welcomed a guest into their home in Bethany. Martha busied herself with the practical things; Mary sat down to listen.
The practical help — shopping, meals, housework and the jobs that keep a home running.
The company — unhurried time, a listening ear, and someone to share the day with.
Both are acts of love, and every visit offers a little of each. The service is rooted in Christian values of kindness, dignity and respect — and everyone is warmly welcome, whatever your faith or none.
Inspired by Luke 10:38–42

Regular visits on the days and times that suit you, with the same friendly face every time.
Families can have a quick update after visits, so everyone has peace of mind.

Older people who are living at home and would like a little extra help with everyday life — whether that's company and conversation, the weekly shop, keeping the house tidy, or a hand with letters and technology. Many people I help are perfectly independent and simply want things to feel a bit easier.
It's a simple £28 per hour, with a minimum booking of 1.5 hours (£42). There are no joining fees or hidden extras — you only pay for the time you book. See the pricing page for examples.
Yes. I'm Cherise, and I work on my own — so you'll always see the same friendly face, never a rota of strangers. That familiarity matters, especially for anyone who finds new people unsettling.
Of course — with their agreement. Many families like a quick text, call or email after each visit, so you know how things went and whether anything needs attention. We'll agree what works for everyone at the start.
